Minimum Age to Volunteer
Camp volunteers must be 16 by May 1.
Time Commitment
Summer Discovery Camp volunteers commit to at least one full-time (40 hour) week, but are encouraged to sign up for more than one week.
Suitable for Groups of Volunteers?
Occasionally. There are several opportunities a year for groups to help with large mailings, stuff goodie bags, or assist with special events. Service organizations are welcome to email volunteer@thehealthmuseum.org for more information.
Training Needed
The Health Museum will provide any training needed.

SUMMER DISCOVERY CAMP VOLUNTEERS
Students, ages 16 – 18 (by May 1), have the opportunity to support the needs of young campers in camps relating to medicine, forensic science, chemistry, sports, and other topics. Week-long camps run from June through August, Monday through Friday. Camp hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for more than one week of service. Youth that have successfully completed the required youth volunteer hours in previous summers have priority in the selection process.
