FAMILY MEAL PROGRAM AT HOLCOMBE HOUSE
“After a long day at the hospital, there is nothing better than a nice meal and a friendly smile. Get together a group of your friends, family or co-workers to build a menu and a meal to share – we provide the kitchen, you provide the food! Be sure to review our Food Safety Guidelines before scheduling.” Sign up online.

FAMILY MEAL PROGRAM AT THE HOSPITAL HOUSES
For patient safety reasons, home-cooked meals are not allowed at the hospital sites. You may donate a professionally prepared meal and serve it to patient families, however. You may also offer an activity, if you like. Sign up online.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
“Bring a little fun and plenty of smiles! A group of your friends, family or co-workers may plan an event of your own design at the Holcombe House: crafts, games, field trips, movie night, spa day, and much more! What talents do you have to share?” Check the website for information about offering activities at the hospital sites.

COOKIE BREAK AT CHILDREN’S MEMORIAL HERMANN HOUSE
“This opportunity (2-5 PM) is BYOCD (Bring Your Own Cookie Dough)! Pick up a few tubs of commercially prepared dough. Get creative – bring prepared icing and sprinkles for sugar cookies. You bring the dough and bakers, we’ll supply the cookie sheets and an oven. Don’t forget to bring the milk!” Sign up online.

HELP WITH EVENTS
Teen volunteers may be needed to help with fundraising events such as the Trafigura Run for the House or the RMH Cup Golf Tournament; address holiday cards; assist with administrative tasks; help with summer camps; and more. Please fill out a volunteer application.

COLLECT NEEDED ITEMS
“Help us keep our expenses down and our inventories stocked by collecting items that our families need the most. All donated items must be new and not used, due to the immune systems of the children staying in the House. You can click here to visit our wishlist page and see what our top needs are.”

COLLECT POP TABS
Volunteers are invited to collect aluminum tabs from soup and soda cans and donate them to RMH. “We recycle the pop tabs and use the proceeds to support our daily operational costs. Everything you need to know for promotion, collection and delivery for your project is available here.“
