I started working at K9 Angels 2 1/2 years ago and haven’t stopped volunteering since. Whether you are willing to foster, donate, or volunteer some (or a lot) of your time, it would be greatly appreciated! If you love playing with, walking, running, or just spending time with dogs in need, contact me (pnikonowicz@sjs.org) or sign up for orientation at K9 Angels website!

K9 Angels helps so many dogs (about 20 adoptions every weekend), and volunteering here is so much fun. You get to walk a bunch of sweet dogs for 3 hours at a time! And don’t forget about all of the puppies. There is also such a wide range of commitment. You can come a couple of times, or you can come every weekend and even foster the dogs.

My daughter who is 16 and I both volunteer.. It is great! The organization is wonderful and there are usually 6 people working a shift. This is my daughter’s passion. We foster puppies and she actually cares for them in her room and gets credit. It is only on weekends so it works with other activities and I feel it reduces stress… puppy kisses = love.
