HELP WITH BACK TO SCHOOL NEEDS
Every year, the CAC provides backpacks for children in its care filled with supplies for their grade level, as well as a uniform to help prepare for the new school year. Donations of new backpacks and school supplies are welcome and needed. More information, including a list of needed items and the deadline (usually the end of July), is posted on the CAC website in May.

COLLECT ITEMS FOR HALLOWEEN PARADE
The CAC welcomes donations of costumes for children ages 2-17 for the Halloween Parade in October. Donations of unopened bags of Halloween candy are also needed.

COLLECT EMERGENCY ESSENTIALS
Host a drive to collect unused items such as socks, shoes, undergarments, diapers, baby powder, lotion, formula, clothing for boys and girls ages 2-17, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, and toothbrushes for the Rainbow Room, the CAC’s emergency resource center for children entering into foster care. All items must be new.

COLLECT HOLIDAY GIFTS
Each year, the CAC helps provide holiday gifts to more than 2,000 of the children receiving its services. Donations of new, unwrapped toys are needed. A link with detailed information is typically added to the CAC’s website in October or November.

HELP DURING WEEKEND EVENTS
While volunteering during the week (while clients are receiving services) is limited to volunteers aged 18 and older, youth under the age of 18 may serve on the weekend at special events. Contact CAC for more information. Students may propose projects!
