About

What Is It?

The most comprehensive resource for pediatric hearing loss in Texas, offering health services and “enabling children with hearing loss to reach their full potential by teaching them listening, speaking, and literacy skills.”

Help Needed:

Help with Via Colori, the annual street painting festival that supports the Center. Via Colori usually takes place on a November weekend.

Time Commitment

Shift options usually range from 2.5 to 4.5 hours. Volunteers are typically needed from 8:30 AM – 6 PM on Saturday and 8:30 AM- 5 PM on Sunday. Volunteers must register in advance.

 

Suitable for Groups of Volunteers?

Yes. For information about group volunteering, contact Berenice Espinoza at bespinoza@centerhearingandspeech.org.

 

Training Needed

None. The Center will provide instructions.

 

Help Needed

HELP GUESTS, ARTISTS, PERFORMERS

Be a greeter; work at check-in booths; help the artists; work at Volunteer Central; create street paintings with kids in the children’s area; help the bands; help sell food, drinks, and merchandise.
