Help Needed

WORKDAYS AT THE PRESERVE
Artist Boat hosts monthly Open Workdays at the Coastal Heritage Preserve, where interested volunteers can help restore the native coastal prairie ecosystem. Tasks can include planting native grasses, treating and removing invasive species, and working in the greenhouse and nursery. To RSVP, please contact the Habitat and Stewardship Program Manager.

MAILINGS AND OTHER OFFICE PROJECTS
“Want to volunteer but find the A/C more to your liking? Contact our Executive Assistant about opportunities to help in our office. From filing to mail outs and data management, there are plenty of ways to help the Artist Boat indoors.”

Volunteers can help with Artist Boat’s special events throughout the year, including the annual World Oceans Day Festival and the Chicken Shack Strut.

Eagle: Kyle S. built and installed 8 heavy duty nursery tables in the Coastal Heritage Preserve Native Plant Nursery. (2020)
Eagle: Joshua D. raised funds for and built a Purple Martin House, 3 owl nesting boxes, and two swallow houses for the Coastal Heritage Preserve. (2020)
Eagle: Nikko A. rebuilt a tractor storage shed, giving it new roof and walls and other improvements. (2020)
Eagle: Scout purchased and installed 21 signs, for each gate and fence line at the Preserve. (2019)
Eagle: Corbin R. installed 5 new gated entrances to the Coastal Heritage Preserve and replaced 7 old gates. (2019)
