WESTBURY COMMUNITY GARDEN

What Is It?: A 7-acre community garden featuring 62 raised beds, an outdoor learning pavilion, orchards, compost areas, a rainwater collection system, and a butterfly garden with native plants.

 

Help Needed: Help maintain the garden by weeding, mulching, picking up litter, pruning trees and shrubs, transplanting plants, and/or other tasks.

 

Minimum Age to Volunteer: 16. Volunteers under 18 need a signed release from a parent / guardian.

HELP MAINTAIN THE GARDEN

The garden’s grounds and common areas are all maintained by volunteers. Tasks may include weeding, mulching, picking up litter, pruning trees and shrubs, transplanting plants, sowing seeds, turning compost, mowing, weed-eating, and other site maintenance work.
