JAPHET CREEK

What Is It?: A charity dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the natural beauty of Japhet Creek Nature Park and “to promote low impact outdoor recreation, conservation, and opportunities that are environmentally and socially responsible.”

 

Help Needed: Activities include picking up trash, planting native trees and bushes, clearing the paths of vines and limbs, mulching around trees and in pathways, and removing non-native plant species.

 

Minimum Age to Volunteer: Youth volunteers ages 9-17 years are welcome with a chaperone 21 years of age or older. There must be one adult per ten youth present.

  • This looks good and I had hoped to do a project here with a group of boy scouts. I emailed twice to ask about setting something up, and which dates would be best, but no one ever responded.
